Otis Spann was one of the true blues
pianists of our time, his delivery, timing and sense of mood were quite
awesome. As a featured performer, fronting his own band, his blues drenched,
husky vocals and inspiring piano virtuosity puts him at the top of his
league.
This 2CD remastered collection features
the complete recordings during his time with The Blue Horizon label
including several rare alternative takes (including false starts) which were
taken form the original multi-tracks and remixed especially for this release.
Accompanied by another set of informative liner notes, written by Mike
Vernon, this CD set will be much sought after by Blues fanatics and will
complement the other titles already available in The Blue Horizon reissue
series.
