Crossing the Atlantic, Blue Horizon tapped into the California scene with Bacon Fat – a multi-racial combo from Los Angeles centered around the dual harps of Rod “Gingerman” Piazza and George “Harmonica” Smith. Bacon Fat recorded two albums for Blue Horizon – ‘Grease One For Me’ – recorded in Hollywood, CA, in 1970 – and ‘Tough Dude’ in 1972.
