Duster Bennett
One of the unsung heroes of British blues
Duster Bennett was another member of the swinging London Blues scene in the 1960’s. Playing guitar, harmonica and singing, Bennett also did his time as part of John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers. Duster Bennett signed with Blue Horizon in 1967, recording several albums for the label, including ‘Smiling Like I’m Happy’ (1968), ‘Justa Duster’ and ‘Bright Lights…’ (1969) and ’12 DB’s’ (1970). The singer was backed by members of Fleetwood Mac on his debut, with Peter Green also playing guitar on a large selection of his other releases. One of the unsung heroes of British blues, Bennett was known as one of the finest composers of the scene. He died in 1976.
