Memphis Country Blues

A compatriot of Bukka White, Lewis – born Walter E. Lewis – hailed from Memphis, TN, and was a guitarist steeped in the country-blues tradition. Lewis also appeared on the ‘Memphis Country Blues Festival’ live album on Blue Horizon, and released ‘Presenting the Country Blues’ on the label in 1969.
